A lovely song by Shaina Noll regarding the Return of the Jewish people and all the children who were given the land of Israel through the promise Abraham. Those who are his decendants that are counted greater than the stars in the sky.
Sing or listen to this song daily and feel its profound effects in your life.
The Daybreak Song arrived suddenly in meditation one morning. I quickly jotted down the simple melody and lyrics before the song could fade away. In the meditation I understood that if I sang the chant daily, like a prayer, it would bring profound change to my life. It has. May it do the same for you.
I have sung Daybreak Song at gatherings in many countries, but the song also seems to travel the world without me. I was at a gathering once in the remote Peruvian Amazon and was surprised to hear children there sing Daybreak Song in their own Achuar language. Then a friend told me they had heard it sung in India, in Hindi, and another said that they had first learned it in German. When I moved to a small island in the Pacific Northwest of the United States, I met a woman who said, “Lenedra Carroll? Oh I know you. I have a gathering at my home each Sunday and we always begin with your Daybreak Song.”
I have many such stories and I love that this song has a life of its own.
